I do not know how to script, if that is necessary, but i can follow directions. It seems that this would a one time setup action but I cannot find where it is. My object is to have the switch indicator lights (controlled by File|Preferences|Switches) to always show "open lights" when the turnout is diverging/inner radius and "closed lights" when the turnout is closed, or not diverging/outer radius. I desire to change the Switch Position definition for the curved turnouts so that Position "0" routes to the outer (larger radius) leg and Position "1" routes to the inner (tighter radius) leg. All "curved" turnouts line the switch for the outer (larger radius) leg of the turnout in Switch Position "1" and line the turnout to the inner (tighter radius) leg of the turnout in Switch Position "0". When these turnouts are set to diverge from straight (ThrownOpen) the Switch Position indicates "1". I wish I could get this point across, Ive made it over and over again, but still I see posts in which folks compare AnyRail and Templot as if they are alternatives. After import to TrainPlayer V8.0, all "straight" turnouts indicate Switch Position "0" when the line of travel is straight through the turnout (Closed). Certainly you wouldnt if using Peco and Tillig track. My layout is an import from Anyrail 6.37, based on the N Scale Fast Tracks Minimum Length Track Library. If it were at all possible I would buy you a tall, cold one as a reward. I do not know how to script, if that is necessary, but i can follow directions. I took your suggestion over to AnyRail, where I do my track designs, and created a 6.5' turntable which I will import to TrainPlayer when my design work is done.
If the turnouts are old I would replace them as well. You do not specify which EZ track you have but if it is the steel kind (black roadbed) I’d dispose of it and get nickel silver grey roadbed EZ track. I desire to change the Switch Position definition for the curved turnouts so that Position "0" routes to the outer (larger radius) leg and Position "1" routes to the inner (tighter radius) leg. the original SIW was a 4 x 6 with a built in extension built with EZ track. After import to TrainPlayer V8.0, all "straight" turnouts indicate Switch Position "0" when the line of travel is straight through the turnout (Closed).
